una situazione che pare irrisolvibile mi suscita immediatamente un irresistibile interesse e profonda passione mi assale le vene fino alle mani e la voglia di mettermi su un mezzo del 1947 si fa irresistibile…
dopo quattro chiacchiere e due birre decidiamo di provare a rimettere in pista sto meraviglioso pezzo di storia.
in sintesi il motore aveva guarnizione di testa marcia e l’acqua, con due anni di sosta si era fatta strada nei cilindri….
affascinato dalla semplicità’ della meccanica di quei tempi e dal fascino di un V8 da 5.7lt… beh la voglia di provarla e di come si poteva viaggiare nel ’47 mi stimola alla ricerca di pezzi e soluzioni.
e stato cosi’ che la ricerca dei pezzi e’ partita, con successo clamoroso in quanto si trova di tutto per questi mezzi negli states.

After some talk and a couple of beers we decided to try to put this wonderful piece of history on the road.
Practically the …….. was rotten and two years of water had filtered through the cylinders
